Milan Spacek

Milan Spacek gained international recognition with his striking sculptures ‘Die Aufrechten’ (‘the Uprights’). The sculptures are formed ‘from the inside out’, modelled with plaster or cement on a steel core, in up to 20 working steps. There is no casting or ablation of the material, like with chiselling of stone or processing of wood. Each sculpture, which is finally coated and patinated several times, is a unique piece. The process takes 4 to 8 weeks.
The sculptures can be placed outdoor too, in gardens, parks and on terraces, after getting a special weatherproof coating. Sizes usually vary between 50 and 200 cm.
